This picture is me cosplaying as Luffy, and my friend cosplaying as Gin. Picture taken at JapanTown. |
Art has always been a great passion
of mine. I may not be an expert or professional, but my work shows my great
passion for the industry. Many of my inspirations have come from watching
anime, seeing how impossible the outfits and hair styles in them have really
aspired me to become a great artist. Anime is not what brought me to
cosplaying, but the community around cosplay. I am fairly new to cosplaying,
but seeing other people’s work has made me want to do more.
As I venture into the world of
cosplay many doors begin to open. One of the doors is what holds back your
comfort zone. I was able to build up enough courage and dress up as someone
that no one knows where it originated from. When I’m cosplaying there is no
reality and nothing going around me and I am not who people know me as. When
I’m cosplaying I’m also role playing.
Cosplay is just like making an art
pieces, combining things and making it into one full outfit. It requires
acting, time, crafting, and searching.
Most of the time in the blog, I would like to introduce to you my next
project on the cosplay, the famous cosplayers, and how to begin on cosplay. The
world of cosplay is __. There is no word that can describe the way the cosplay
community is, because everyone has their own opinions. During this journey
maybe I’ll let you in on my little secrets.
